Tamar Levit and Yaën S. Levi graduated at the fashion department in Shenkar College (Tel Aviv), the A.pass Program (Brussels) and Jan Van Eyck Academie (Maastricht). They are based in the Brussels region. Their practice is defined by their recent explorations into the histories and appearances of wearable items, with a particular focus on uniforms, everyday clothing, and the common practice of wearing. Through installations, they expose personal stories or trace collective psyches, and stage the material, shape, and sensations they describe. Through a multidisciplinary practice, they seek to reimagine the boundaries between skin, garments, homes, technologies, class, pockets, machines, them, and us.
