To round off the festival and to mark the 20th anniversary of the BUDA arts centre, Lydia McGlinchey has created a celebration that blends clubbing, performance and installation. An impressive sculpture made of flax rotates like a luminous chandelier in the rotunda of budascoop. Two performers – clad from head to toe in raw flax – open the party. Like extravagant go-go dancers, they whip the crowd into a frenzy whilst the DJ spins records. An exuberant and irresistible birthday party!
