Arts centre BUDA is part of international networks of artistic institutions, each working individually and together to support contemporary creation and implement fair practices. At the same time, we support a network of artists working in the performing arts, including dance, performance, and theater, who come to develop their projects during a residency. They write, research, dance and rehearse. Sometimes alone, sometimes surrounded by their teams of performers, musicians, costume designers, lighting designers, set designers, and dramaturges.
It is at the intersection of all these meetings, collaborations, support requests, and artistic creation sharing that the Almost Summer festival is built, offering the public a range of new and stimulating performances, just before summer kicks off.
Besides performances, you can also participate in our Feminist School. The Feminist School proposes to enable an exchange of practices and knowledge among partners, artists and audiences in a non-hierarchical, feminist environment, while offering all participants the opportunity to acquire new skills.
