Zooming in on a moment of speechlessness – a moment when language slips into crisis – DUST opens up and unfolds an imaginary world. There we find two characters, ‘Hmm’ and ‘Huh’, who constantly change shape. Rubbing against language, and at the same time worn away by it, they wander into a space of intimacy and confusion where they challenge the boundaries of the ‘I’.

By interweaving choreography and text, DUST explores transformation and the multiple selves, with loss and longing as its driving forces. The performance thus begins with the question: What does it mean to move outside ourselves, or to be moved?
